Define the following terms:
  1. Air Pressure - The pressure given out by the atmosphere.
  2. Barometer- An instrument that measures the pressure of the atmosphere.
  3. Jet Stream - A very high altitude, airstream blowing from the west to the east near the top of the troposphere.
  4. Wind - Air moving (with some force) from an area of high pressure to an area of low pressure.
  5. Land Breeze - A breeze blowing from land towards open water.
  6. Sea Breeze - A breeze blowing from the sea to the land.
  7. Wind-Chill Factor - The temperature of windless air that would have the same effect on exposed human skin as a given combination of wind speed and air temperature.
  8. Water Vapour - Water in a gaseous state, especially when diffused as a vapor in the atmosphere and at a temperature below boiling point.
  9. Condensation - Condensation is the process of a substance changing from a gas to a liquid.
  10. Precipitation - The action or process of precipitating a substance from a solution. E.g. rain, snow, sleet, or hail that falls to the ground.
  11. Humidity - A quantity representing the amount of water vapor in the atmosphere or a gas
  12. Convection - The movement caused within a fluid by the tendency of hotter and therefore less dense material to rise, and colder, denser material to sink under the influence of gravity, which consequently results in transfer of heat.
  13. Showers - A brief and usually light fall of rain, hail, sleet, or snow.
  14. Rain - The condensed moisture of the atmosphere falling visibly in separate drops.
  15. Drizzle - Light rain falling in very fine drops.
  16. Frost - A deposit of small white ice crystals formed on the ground or other surfaces when the temperature falls below freezing.
  17. Fog - A thick cloud of water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth's surface that obscures or restricts visibility
  18. Mist - A cloud of tiny water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth's surface
  19. Thunderstorms - A storm with thunder and lightning and typically also heavy rain or hail
  20. Tornado - A mobile, destructive vortex of violently rotating winds having the appearance of a funnel-shaped cloud and advancing beneath a large storm system
  21. Blizzard - A severe snowstorm with high winds and low visibility.
  22. Change - A change in weather
